New Delhi, Sep 18 (IANS) Manoj Jayaswal, a private firm's director, Tuesday faced questions in connection with coal block allocations from the CBI, who continued to quiz his brother for the second consecutive day.

A Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) officer said Manoj Jayaswal, who was summoned Monday, arrived at the probe agency's headquarters here around 6 p.m.

"His brother Arvind Jayaswal was questioned for more than eight hours for the second consecutive day for alleged misrepresentation and concealing of facts by his company AMR Iron and Steel Pvt. Ltd. for getting Bander coal block in Maharashtra in 2008," added the officer.

Manoj Jayaswal is one of the directors of the company and has been named by the CBI in its first information report (FIR) against AMR Iron and Steel Pvt. Ltd.

The investigating agency was likely to call other directors of the company, including Devendra Darda, son of Congress MP Vijay Darda, sources said. Devendra Darda is also an accused in the case.

In a recent report, the government auditor said that private players had windfall gains worth Rs.1.86 lakh crore in the 142 coal blocks allocated to them.
