The National Company Law tribunal will soon be hearing a petition challenging a CCI order. The petition pertains to e-commerce majors such as Flipkart and Amazon violating competition laws.
The All India Online Vendors Association in a previous petition had complained against the e-commerce majors to the CCI.
The Competition Commission of India had absolved both the e-commerce firms of unfair practices in its ruling made on November 6 2018.
"It does not appear that any one player in the market is commanding any dominant position at this stage of evolution of market," the CCI observed back then.
Since May 2017, the NCLAT has been adjudged the appellate authority for hearing orders passed by the CCI.
AIOVA, a group of 2000 sellers approached the NCLAT to hear its petition.
The petition is likely to be heard by a three-member NCLAT bench headed by Chairman Justice S J Mukhopadhaya on July 30.
