As per the announcement in the last Railway Budget, the Ministry of Railways has decided to introduce three new trains in the jurisdiction of East Coast Railway (ECoR).
The Puri-Howrah-Puri daily Duronto express will be introduced from December 7, Sambalpur-Howrah-Sambalpur weekly express from December 10 and Puri-Digha-Puri weekly express from December 11. The 2278 Puri-Howrah Duronto express will leave Puri at 6:45 am and will arrive at Howrah at 1:45 pm. In the return direction, 2277 Howrah-Puri Duronto express will leave Howrah at 2:25 pm and will arrive at Puri at 9:40 pm. This train would have no intermediate stoppage. The 2586 Sambalpur-Howrah weekly express via Angul and Bhadrak will leave Sambalpur at 7.55 pm. on Fridays and will arrive at Howrah at 7:05 am on the following day.
Similarly, in the return direction, 2585 Howrah-Sambalpur weekly express via Bhadrak and Angul will leave Howrah at 8:55 pm on Saturdays and will arrive at Sambalpur at 8:10 am. on the following day. The 2580 Puri-Digha express will leave Puri at 11: 35 pm on Saturdays and will arrive at Digha at 9:30 am on the next day. In the return direction, 2579 Digha Puri weekly express will leave Digha at 5:15 pm on Sundays and will arrive Puri at 3:20 am. on the following days.
