The carrier which has reported of financial difficulties in recent time had delayed salary disbursal to pilots, engineers and even senior management. But, a PTI report on Wednesday said that September salaries to other categories of employees has also been delayed. The report quotes an airline source as saying.

"We generally get our salary on the 1st of (every) month. Last month, the airline had paid to all employees except senior management, pilots and engineers on time.

"But this time (September), they have failed to pay even to other categories of employees such as manager and above levels," the report quoted the source as saying.

Staffers in the pay band of M2, M3 and E1 are yet to be paid their September salary, although employees in the grade of A1-A5, O2 and O3 grade, or whose salaries are up to Rs 75,000 per month, were paid on October 1.

The report did not suggest how many employees were yet to be paid for their September salaries. Jet too is yet to respond on the report.

On September 6, the full service airline informed its senior employees that salaries would be paid in two instalments till November.

Salaries for August were to be paid in two instalments (50% by September 11 and the remaining by September 26.

While Jet credited the first tranche on time, it could disburse only 50% amount of the second instalment on the designated date and deferred the payment of the remainder 50% to October 9.
