Royal Enfield has launched two new bullets - Thunderbird 350X (seen above) and 500X - priced at Rs 1.56 lakh and Rs 1.98 lakh respectively.

"The Thunderbird X is a custom inspired Royal Enfield, that takes inspiration from our Thunderbird community," Rudratej Singh, President, Royal Enfield, said at the launch.

"The two interpretations of Thunderbird and Thunderbird X will continue to strengthen our city and highway cruising proposition, and of nudging the youth to express themselves."

Both models are more expensive - by around Rs 8000 - than their respective standard versions - the Thunderbird 350 and the Thunderbird 500.

They come with alloy wheels, tubeless tyres and a 'gunslinger' styled single seamless seat. They also boast of a new grab-rail and shortened rear mudguard.

They will be powered by Royal Enfield's Unit Construction Engine (UCE).

The 500X (seen above) is propelled by a single cylinder, air cooled, 499cc engine fed by an electronic fuel injection system that generates maximum power of 27.2 bhp at 5250 rpm and 41.3 Nm maximum torque at 4000 rpm.

The 350X is propelled by a single cylinder, air cooled, twinspark, 346cc engine that generates a maximum power of 19.8 bhp at 5250 rpm and 28 Nm maximum torque at 4000 rpm.

It will be available in four colours: Drifter Blue, Getaway Orange, Roving Red and Whimsical White.
