The Indian stock market ended marginally down on Friday after a choppy ride.
Though Asian and European markets rebounded after previous session's setback, the mood in Indian market was cautious right through.
The Sensex ended at 19,309.16 (provisional) with a loss of 16.20 points or 0.08%.
The Nifty closed at 5848.35, down 3.90 points or 0.07%.
FMCG, automobile and metal stocks mostly ended weak.
PSU, capital goods and bank stocks turned in a mixed performance.
A few stocks from power and oil sectors posted solid gains.
Pharma and information technology stocks had a fairly good outing.
Realty stocks were in demand.
Midcap and smallcap stocks were mostly subdued.
The market breadth was slightly weak.
