The market has come off its higher levels with a section of investors turning cautious and booking some profits due to lack of triggers. Select oil, auto, metal and healthcare stocks are trading higher.
Bank, FMCG, realty and PSU stocks are quite subdued. Power, information technology and capital goods stocks are also moving in a lackluster manner.

The Sensex is now up 23.03 points or 0.13% at 17,190.99, more than 50 points off the day's high of 17,244.54. At 5144, the Nifty is up 10.60 points or 0.21% at present. The Nifty had earlier surged to 5158.10.
After a fairly bright spell in positive territory, midcap and smallcap stocks have also come off their higher levels due to profit taking. The market breadth, which was quite strong earlier this morning, has turned almost neutral now.
Hindustan Unilever continues to languish in the red due to sustained selling at the counter. The FMCG major, which ended sharply lower on Thursday, is currently down with a loss of 1.85% at Rs 224.50. HDFC Bank has lost around 1.7%. NTPC, Jaiprakash Associates, BHEL, NTPC and Larsen & Toubro have lost 0.6% - 1%.
Infosys Technologies, Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance Communications are trading lower by nearly half a percent, while Wipro is down with a small loss.
Shree Renuka Sugars, Balrampur Chini, Ashok Leyland, GVK Power, Bosch, Praj Industries, KSK Energy, Praj Industries, Oriental Bank of Commerce, India Bulls Real Estate, Bharat Earth Movers, Exide Industries, Union Bank of India, Gujarat NRE Coke and GTLI are also trading weak.
Cairn India rules firm with a sharp gain of 3.65%. Hindalco, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Power, GAIL India, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries, IDFC, Sterlite Industries, ICICI Bank, Siemens, ITC, Maruti Suzuki and Ranbaxy Laboratories are trading notably higher.
Mphasis, Sesa Goa, United Spirits, Glaxo Smithkline Pharmaceuticals, Zee Entertainment, Adani Enterprises, Bharat Forge, Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Crompton Greaves, Reliance Natural Resources, Power Finance Corporation and Bajaj Auto are also trading higher.
