With the bulls still dominating the ring, the market looks well on course to end the session on a buoyant note today.

A few front line stocks are trading well off their morning highs, but with the mood remaining quite upbeat, a sharp slide from current levels looks very unlikely in the final minutes of the session.

The Sensex and Nifty, which hit their new lifetime highs this morning, rising to 21,483.74 and 6415.25, respectively, are currently up 339.21 points (1.62%) and 106 points (1.69%) at 21,335.74 and 6365.90.

Bank and capital goods stocks remain the most impressive gainers. Realty, power, automobile and oil stocks are trading near their day's high now. Metal stocks have recovered well after paring some gains earlier in the session.

Information technology stocks are trading mixed. FMCG and healthcare stocks are somewhat subdued due to lack of support. Even as scores of large caps are trading firm, those from midcap and smallcap sections are moving in a somewhat listless manner.

The market breadth is slightly weak. On BSE, 1230 stocks are trading lower and 1175 stocks are up in positive territory, while 176 stocks are trading flat.
