Sonata Software Q1 net down 51%

Mumbai: Bangalore-based IT company Sonata Software today reported a 51% decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 8.84 crore for the quarter ended on June 30, 2011.
During the same period a year ago, the company's net profit stood at Rs 18.23 crore.
Total income of the company for the first quarter of the ongoing financial year was marginally up at Rs 338.77 crore from Rs 332.76 crore posted in the same period a year ago.
Shares of company today closed at Rs 40.60 apiece, down by 5.36% compared to its previous close on the BSE.
