Ranbaxy's 'Operation Orchid'
Orchid's top management is weighing different options to ward off any takeover bid by Ranbaxy. Orchid's promoter is garnering support, including alliances with other pharma companies, to keep out Ranbaxy, after Solrex's stake hike in Orchid. Though Ranbaxy has denied any hostile takeover bid, the status could change over the next few days.
