New Delhi, Oct 15 (IANS) Automobile major Tata Motors Monday reported a four percent decline in group global sales in September, which stood at 103,656 units.
The global sales of all commercial vehicles, including those of Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range, was higher by three percent in the month under review at 54,761 units.
However, the company's passenger vehicles sales last month were lower by 11 percent at 48,895 units.
"Global wholesales of Tata passenger vehicles were at 22,434 units for the month, lower by 17 percent, over September 2011," the company said in a statement.
It reported that the sales of Jaguar Land Rover brand in September 2012 were down four percent at 26,461 units over September 2011.
"Jaguar sales for the month were 2,808 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales in September 2012 were 23,653 vehicles," the statement said.
The company added that its overall cumulative wholesales for the fiscal till now was up eight percent at 579,037 units compared to the corresponding period in 2011-12.
