There are charges that you dabbled in the stock market during your father's earlier stint as finance minister...
It is absolutely preposterous to say that I rigged the stock markets or profited from my father's position in government. These are baseless allegations. My financial and business transactions will withstand all compliance norms and scrutiny.
How do you earn a living?
I inherited a coffee plantation from my grandfather. I have a consulting and a logistics company too. My businesses are adequate. They pay my bills. I have no big corporate ambitions.
What was your role in your father's election, which, his opponents say, he actually lost?
Pretty much every losing candidate files an election petition. These are all vexatious theories. My father won his election fair and square.
You are at the centre of a controversy on Twitter. You made use of a section in the law that has sent a man to jail.
I get abused a lot on Twitter. Most abusers and ranters use fake identities. I ignore most of it. People on social media think they have unlimited freedom to say what they want. The particular tweet was made by an IAC activist, not by some non-partisan innocent. The IAC is political with an agenda. The tweeter made this tweet after a 78-day hibernation, specifically naming me. He used words like "reports about amassing wealth" and compared me with Robert Vadra. It was specific and directed. All those doing stories on this must ask him why he said what he said.
I did the legally right thing. I lodged a written complaint. I didn't send goons to his house. I didn't abuse him. There are many cases worldwide, including India, where the law has taken tweeters to task. I am not responsible for section 66. Others have relied on this section too.
