It is towards this that TrakInvest ("TI") has partnered with Reuters and provides weekly updated research and analytics for over 12,000 companies in US, India, China, Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong to its users.
TrakInvest provides its user base a simple and unique platform to communicate and share trading activity on a real time basis. TI's algorithm generates "friends suggestions" of individuals who are leading performers based on the users' queried stock, its sector, and market. The users can choose to follow or "Trak" suggested top performers and opt to replicate all or part of the observed trading activity.
TrakInvest has received tremendous support and buy-in from foremost academic and corporate institutions across Asia. Students at National University of Singapore, Singapore Management University, Indian Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Management and other academic institutions are currently using the platform. TI's platform provides the students the ability to showcase their talent and win sponsored prizes including internships at leading financial institutions. Currently TI has secured 50 sponsored internships that are to be offered to the top student performers over the next 6 months.
TrakInvest is also gearing up to provide its retail customers in Asia the ability to execute "real money" trades using its interface. The Company has recently partnered with Religare Securities Limited, a subsidiary of Religare Financial, one of the major financial and brokerage houses in India, to open brokerage accounts and execute actual trades. TI will be announcing similar arrangements across Asia in the near future.
TrakInvest has successfully conducted its first round of financing and its investors include business leaders and institutions across Asia and the Middle East.
TrakInvest Private Limited was incorporated in Singapore in January 2013. TrakInvest is headquartered in Singapore with development and management teams based in India and Hong Kong. The 15 person team is lead by Bobby Bhatia, a veteran of the Private Equity Industry in Asia.
About Bobby Bhatia
Bobby Bhatia, based in Singapore, is the Founder & CEO of TrakInvest. Mr. Bhatia has been a private equity and special situations investor in Asia since 1995. He was the Managing Director & Head of Principal Investments at AIG for the APAC region. Prior to AIG, he was a Principal & Founding Member at JP Morgan Partners Asia, the first leveraged buyout fund in the region. He began his career as an options trader at O'Connor & Associates in Chicago. Currently, he serves on the Boards of Sentinel Capital, Palma Capital, LiveSports, and Bharat Light & Power. Mr. Bhatia earned a BA (Honors) in Economics & Asian Literature from Duke University and attended the Young Scholars Program at Stanford University.
