Undue volatility in the rupee not desirable - India econ adviser

"Undue volatility" in the rupee is not desirable, Indian chief economic adviser Raghuram Rajan said on Wednesday.

The Indian rupee, the worst performing emerging Asian currency this year, hit a lifetime low of 61.21 to the dollar last week, but recovered some of the losses to trade stronger at 59.36/37 earlier on Wednesday.
