| Points to remember when taking Handprint or Image
|
| 1)
|
Send handprint or image/impression of both the hands. The print or the image should
be of the complete hand from wrist to fingertips and from thumb to little finger in
width.
|
| 2)
|
While taking the image or the print, remember to keep all the four fingers closed
including the thumb, as shown in the diagram.
|
| 3)
|
If the lines in the image taken by a digital camera or an electrostat machine or
scanner are not clear, take the print using the lipstick method. (Scroll down for
more info)

How to take the palm image.
|
|
|
1) Image taken by digital camera:
Please remember to keep the camera in a
vertical position, so that the whole image is obtained. (Attach it with the
personal information form)
|
|
|
|
|
2) Image taken using a scanner:
Place the palm against the glass of the scanner, applying pressure.
And do not shake the palm till the image is obtained. (Attach it with the personal information form)

|
|
|
|
3) Image by Electrostat copying machine:
To ensure that the print comes clear, take the image in a dark room.
If a dark room facility is not available, cover all the four outer sides of the
hand with the white paper, while placing the palm on the glass of copying machine so that
the outer light may not cause any disturbance.

4) Handprint taken using Lipstick:
You will need:
1. A dark red or brown lipstick.
2. Two sheets of white paper (one for each hand), which are slightly larger than the size of your hand.
3. A thin layer of cotton.
How to do:

|
Stretch the white paper on a hard surface. Keep the
|
|
|
cotton layer below the white paper on the portion of the palm, where the central portion of the palm rests. This is done because as the central portion of the palm is a little concave, the lines of this portion will not come clear without the cotton layer.
Wash & dry the palm. Spread lipstick evenly on the entire palm and fingers.
Place it on the white paper and press it with the other hand as shown in above Fig… While applying pressure, the palm should not quiver.
Remove the palm from the paper. You will see that the full print of the lines has been transferred onto the paper.
Take a thumb impression separately on the blank portion of the same paper.
If the hand quivers while taking print, the lines will not come out clear. If this happens, wash your hands, dry it, and take the print by applying lipstick once more.

Things to remember, if you send your handprints by post/courier:
1. On the same paper, write your name, age, sex and date of taking print.
2. If you adopt more than one method to take the impression, feel free to send them all. We will select the one best.
It is compulsory to send the image or print of both the hands.
Please send more than one print for accurate answers.
