A beautiful bungalow with a lush garden around it, situated in Elachi village in Narendrapur, some distance away from Kolkata, was the location for the shooting of veteran filmmaker, Subhash Sen's film Aparadhi.

Bangladesh filmmaker Kajal Sarkar penned the story. Durga (Priyanka Trivedi) marries Raj (Diganta) who was already married to another girl named Kajol. On finding this out, a desperate Kajol goes from door to door in search of help and is directed to Shiba (Prosenjit), known for delivering justice in his own way.

Shiba makes a dramatic entry just when the marriage rituals are about to begin. Gruesome violence follows. In the confusing action of fights, the garland around Durga's neck slips off and falls around Shiba's neck. Does this indicate a marriage between Shiba and Durga? Answering this would be giving the game away.

The film promises to be filled with dramatic twists and turns, at one point, telling us who Shiba really is and who the criminal is. Rana Dasgupta is the cinematographer. Bappi Lahiri will do the musical score and lyrics are by Priyo Chatterjee.

Samir Kundu is responsible for the production design and Atish De Sarkar. Others in the cast are Victor Banerjee, Laboni Sarkar, Arpita Mukherjee, Nandini Chatterjee, Razzak, Sunil and Deepshikha. Kumar Shanu, Babul Supriyo, Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamoorthy, Sadhana Sargam and Srestha Bandopadhyay will sing the songs. Jitendra Thirani and Vijay Kalyani are presenting the film. Priyanka is acting with Prosenjit after a long time.
