The Oscars of television are back! Catch the biggest television stars at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards which will be held on 19th September at the new Nokia Theatre in downtown LA and hosted by Jane Lynch of Glee fame.
We take a look at this year's nominees under our two favourit categories Outstanding Comedy and Outstanding Drama.
Outstanding Comedy Series
The Big Bang Theory
First on the list of nominations is The Big Bang Theory that features our favourite geeks - Experimental phycist Leonard Hofstadter, theoretical physicist Sheldon Cooper, Howard Wolowitz a Jewish aerospace engineer and Rajesh Koothrappali a particle astrophysicist from India.
Jim Parsons who steals the show as the sarcastic, socially awkward yet brilliant scientist Sheldon Cooper, has already won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe. This year, he has been nominated a with co-star Johnny Galecki who plays Leonard Hofstadter. This is the first time the series has been nominated under this section and we hope they continue their successful run at the Emmys.
