Better late than never. That seemed to be Bollywood's motto as celebrities got together to urge people to "reach out and help" the quake-devastated Haiti.
"I think we should all do what we can to help people who have been through such a tragedy," said Aamir, who supports 'Hope for Haiti' - an organisation that's raising funds for the earthquake-affected people of the island. "I am here to support the cause."
The January 12 quake - with a magnitude of 7.0 on the Richter scale - killed more than 200,000 people and destroyed much of Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince and its surroundings.
"Today India has reached such a position that it can also help. Economically it is growing so strong that it can afford to help others," said Anil Kapoor, who was also present at the fundraiser - an auction of Indian modern art. "That makes me proud."
