No sooner did Aamir Khan return from his Chicago schedule of Dhoom 3, than he set off on another trip - one of more spiritual significance. Aamir had promised his mother that he would make the holy Hajj trip with her, and he took a fortnight off his work to keep his word.
We caught Aamir, dressed all in white, leaving for Mecca over the weekend. He was accompanied by his mother, eight of his relatives and a Maulvi.
This is Aamir first Hajj trip, and besides Mecca, he will also visit Medina, the burial place of Prophet Muhammad.
Last heard, Aamir bumped into Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi in the holy city. Aamir is expected back on November 3.
