Setting down a path that runs exactly opposite to those followed by the rest of the Deol clan has helped Abhay Deol immensely. It has led him all the way to Venice, where his film Dev D was screened and to Toronto, where Dev Benegal's Road will be screened.
Abhay was accompanied by his two ladyloves - Mahi Gill and Kalki Koechlin - at the 66th Venice Film Festival. He was also joined on the red carpet by director Anurag Kashyap and the crew of Dev D.
While the youngest Deol looked snazzy in a black tux (sans a tie or a bow), Mahi went the Indian way in a gold embellished white sari and Kalki donned a one-shouldered green silk gown with an embroidered bodice.
