Bollywood stars Ajay Devgan, Fardeen Khan & Mugdha Godse flagged off Lavasa Women's Drive on Sunday. The rally began from MMRDA grounds, Bandra-Kurla Complex and ended at Lavasa's town hall.
Lavasa is India's first hill city being developed by HCC (Hindustan Construction Company) in the midst of the Sahyadri mountains, an hour’s drive from Pune.
Lavasa Women's Drive is a joint initiative with Bombay Times to raise awareness and aid for women's cancer. The funds raised would be donated towards the Women's Cancer Initiative of Tata Memorial Hospital, a non-governmental, non-profit organization aimed at creating awareness about cancer that affects women.
