The official Indian press meet for Life of Pi was held recently. Director Ang Lee was joined by his cast comprising of Suraj Sharma, Irrfan Khan and Tabu to promote the upcoming film.
Manisha Koirala and Amole Gupte (director of indie film Stanley Ka Dabba) were seen at the event. Life of Pi is an adaptation of the Booker Prize winning novel of the same name. Suraj Sharma makes his debut in this film, playing the lead role of Pi Patel, with Irrfan Khan playing the character as an adult.
Tabu and Adil Hussain play the roles of Pi's parents. The film which is shot in Pondicherry, will premiere in India at the International Film Festival of India in Goa on November 20 and release in cinemas across the country on November 23.
