The master and path-breaker of Tamil cinema Bharathiraja is going back to his roots.
His Anna Kodiyum Kodi Veeranum (AKKV) was launched on November 17 in Theni.
The cream of the directors K Balachander, Balu Mahendra and Mani Ratnam were present on the occasion along with other dignitaries from Tamil cinema.
The film also marks the return of Bharathiraja to his favourite village subjects which made him a director of International reputation. AKKV has Ameer, Karthika, Iniya, Meenal and others in the star cast.
GV Prakash is teaming up for the first time with Bharathiraja in the film.
