Bollywood grows a conscience when it suits it. And in the lat few days, the time was right for the film fraternity to come together to promote green living.
First there was Toyota's Greenathon II. Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Dia Mirza, Riteish Deshmukh and Jaqueline Fernandez stepped up to support the green cause by pledging to do their bit for the environment. They also threw in a little bit of entertainment for audiences at the Yashraj Studios.
Then there was Shilpa Shetty, who, along with husband Raj Kundra and the Rajasthan Royals team, planted a tree at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, as part of the IPL-UNEP initiative.
Check out the do-gooders. And let's hope they don't forget their pledge even before that sapling has put down roots!
