When A R Rahman lifted two Grammys in Los Angeles, back in Chennai, it was time for his fans to celebrate. They bought a big cake and cut it in front of his house. They also distributed sweets and burst crackers.
Fathima, Rahman's sister, took part in the celebrations, along with college students who sang Jai ho. ''Rahman spoke to us around 3 a.m. on Monday morning and broke the news first to our mom,'' said Fathima. ''We all wished him.''
Rehaina, Rahman's other sister, was also present there.
