Can women be funny?
A large part of Parks and Rec's success can be attributed to one woman. Amy Poehler.
She plays the lead character Leslie Knope in the series, a government employee who works as the Deputy Director of the Parks and Recreation department in the town of Pawnee (fictional) in Indiana. She is driven and her heart is in the right place, but frequently things don't go her way. Nevertheless, she manages to get things going.
Amy's strength lies in deadpan humour and she excels at it. Surrounded by a cast of equally funny performers, the humour quotient of this series is consistently high.
Let's see who the others are.
