Producer B P Srinivas, who takes on multiple responsibilities - story, screenplay, direction and acting - says that Mussanjeya Gelathi is not vulgar or disturbing. In fact, he says college teachers and the education department should watch the film.
Actress Shalini says she plays "a naughty girl [in the film] and my dad gave me enough freedom while acting to improvise on the sets." Neel has scored the music.
