The very mention of this film sends shivers down our spine. The only reason we manage to sleep at night is by convincing ourselves that this is the wrath of a wronged righteous girl. Sissy Spacek did a fantastic job at playing the terrified & terrifying Carrie. And now, Stephen King's psionic teen gets a second shot. Directed by Kimberley Pierce of Boys Don't Cry fame, we believe the remake of the 1976 Brian De Palma cult classic is in good hands.
Chloe Moretz takes on the lead role while Julianne Moore portrays Carrie's Christian fundamentalist mother. Will this version bag Oscars for both ladies as the original did for Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie? We'll find out in 2013.
