Ganesh Venkatraman seems to be on a high after the actor decided to move to Chennai. His next film, his first as solo hero,Panithuli is ready for release where he plays an NRI. The film was extensivelyshot in the US.
And looks like now, there is another film where he will bereprising the role of the NRI which is also to be shot in the US. The film is Chandra, a bi lingual in Tamil and Kannada, where he teams up with Shriya next. It may be recalled that the actor began his Kollywood career by teaming up with Trisha in Abhiyum Naanum.
The film will mark his Kannada debut after a number of Telugu films in his belt as well. The movie deals with the life of a last generation princess played by Shriya and the love story has two heroes. Popular Kannada actor Prem is the other hero.
About selecting Ganesh, award-winning filmmaker Roopa Iyer says, “I wanted someone who was tall and handsome and also a powerhouse of an actor, for that particular US-based character, who would also be Shriya's pair. Ganesh fitted the role to a T and was exactly what I had conceived in my mind.
