Subsequently he went on to work with greats like MGR, Sivaji, Gemini Ganesan, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth and a few others. Krishnamurthy also worked as PRO to K Balachandar, Bharathiraja, Ramanarayanan and other leading producers and directors.
He is survived by wife Gajalakshmi, two daughters and son, PRO and photographer Glamour Sathya. His son-in-law is producer Vijaya Muralee.
