When Hollywood dabbles with the occult and the powers that be, not so good things come their way. We take a look at six movies that will go down in history as the most jinxed and deadliest movies ever made.
First up we have Poltergeist. The most goriest and spine-chilling scene in the movie by far is the swimming pool full of skeletons. Thrown in were real corpses to create real life tension for the actors. Why go to such trouble? Isn't it scary enough to see a pool of fake skeletons? But the makers of the film stuck to their guns and went on this authentic fear trip.
Soon after, tragic mishaps followed one after the other. 22-year-old Dominique Dunne was murdered by her boyfriend shortly after the film released. 12-year-old Heather Rourke died of a septic shock while filming the third Poltergeist movie. Two more actors died around this time making the death toll four within a gap of six years.
Apart from these deaths, flickering lights and objects moving unaided around the sets was commonplace.
