Aaptha Rakshaka
The last film of superstar Vishnuvardhana (and his 200th) is easily the biggest money grosser so far. It won't be a surprise if Aaptha Rakshaka turns out to be 2010's biggest hit because the movie is still running in theatres. Producer Krishna Prajwal has already made Rs 7 crore from it, a welcome sign for the Kannada film industry.
Directed by P Vasu, Aaptha Rakshaka, a sequel to Aaptha Mithra, is a star-studded affair with Sandhya, Bhavana, Lakshmi Gopalaswami, Vimala Raman and Avinash in it. The music by Gurukiran is a major hit. (Ratings are based on box office collections and the cost of the film.)
