After months producer and director AMR Ramesh is a relieved man. His controversial bio-pic on the notorious forest brigand Veerappan Vana Yuddham, has been cleared by the Madras High Court.
The slain Veerappan’s wife Muthulakshmi had raised an objection to the content of the film and obtained a stay on the release of the film last September.
Now Justice RS Ramanathan of the Madras High Court has cleared the decks for the film’s release. The producer agreed to delete scenes showing Muthulakshmi’s marriage to Veerappan, his escape from special task force and arrest of Muthulakshmi.
Now Vana Yudham is getting ready for February 15 release. It stars Arjun, Kishore, Lakshmi Rai and Vijayalakshmi in the lead with Sandeep Chowta’s music.
