It's commendable that Karan Johar has bought the remake rights of Stepmom to make his We Are Family. But in most cases, Bollywood has taken the liberty of stealing plot lines from the West, infusing it with masala and slapstick humour, and selling it as an unrecognisable mish-mash that, nevertheless, follows the story line unflinchingly.
