At a press conference to address the new turn of events with Vishwaroopam, Kamal Haasan reiterated that he is not angry with the people.

However, he is upset with how the state government has been treating him and his new film.

The Tamil Nadu government has appealed the lifting of the ban, and the case will be heard today at 2 p.m.

The actor said that he has incurred a huge loss of property because of the delay in the release of the film. He even claimed that he has lost his house to a money lender!

Kamal said he was confused how the sentiments of Indian Muslim could have been hurt by Vishwaroopam when the film is set in Afghanistan.

"If there is no secular place in India, I will go aboard. I have been trashed for political reasons," said Kamal.

He also said that his fans were with him whole heartedly - fans that also number thousands and thousands of fans.
