The film has been getting mixed reviews. While some have called Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola electrifying entertainment, others feel director Vishal Bhardwaj has failed to marry whimsy and serious narrative in his new film.

But that hasn't stopped lead actors Imran Khan and Anushka Sharma from promoting Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola aggressively.

Recently, they were spotted flying kites (as part of Makar Sankranti) and getting fans to pose with the gulabi bhains in a bid to promote their rustic cinematic tale.

What's more, they even talked in the Haryanvi dialect, which got the crowd applauding.
