President Pratibha Devisingh Patil conferred the nation's prestigious civilian Padma Awards to 64 eminent personalities from various fields. And the honorees include Kajol, Irrfan Khan, Shashi Kapoor and Usha Uthup.
A total of 64 awards were given under the categories of Padma Vibhusan, Padma Bhusan and Padma Shri.
Padma Vibhusan Awardees include Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Wipro Chairman Azim Premji along with six others.
Forty Padma Shri awardees include shooter Gagan Narang, athlete Krishna Poonia, film actress Kajol and Singer Usha Uthup, among others.
