There are many Bollywood producers and directors who have given multiple breaks to heroes and heroines and launched their careers.

Dev Anand comes to mind. He gave Guru Dutt a break as a director with Baazi in 1951. Then he launched many heroines, though many didn't make it to the big league.

But when it comes to a hero giving breaks to directors, then Shah Rukh Khan is in a league of his own.

The number of directors whose careers have been launched by signing a film with King Khan is a long list indeed. While some became top Bollywood directors, others faded into obscurity.
