On the eve of the Indian Independence Day, Mallika was presented the City of Los Angeles' Honorary Citizenship and Official Resolution by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, former mayor Richard Riordan and Council member Jose Huizar.
The honour came her way for her extraordinary career and charitable efforts.
And the lady looked delightfully dignified at the event, dressed in a Dolce & Gabbana suit accentuated by elegant black heels, minimal silver jewellery and a Gucci bag.
It is the first time in Hollywood's history that such an honour has been bestowed on a Bollywood star.
