Right after setting the commercial street corridor at Bandra on fire, it was time for Lewis Hamilton to kick off the Vodafone auction.
Up for grabs were a painting of the Formula One champion, his cap, McLaren Mercedes t-shirt, and even a scale model of his helmet.
Compeering the event was Mandira Bedi and Gaurav Kapoor. The former wowed in a sizzling hot mini.
Also in attendance were Vidya Malvade, Manjari Phadnis, Shama Sikander, Manish Paul, Ramesh Sippy and wife Kiran Juneja.
This is Hamilton's second street race in India. Last year he was at Bangalore.
"It's amazing how each time I come to India, the experience gets better. I wish to thank Vodafone for giving me this opportunity and for putting up such a fantastic show on a large scale," said Hamilton who is headed for the Singapore night grand prix this weekend.
