What is Marina about?
It`s about the life of several kids who live in and around the beach and has a love story told in a comical way.
Is it a pressure to direct after winning National awards?
Well I didn`t make Pasanga with any awards in mind but I was certainly happy that we won so many. I have many awards lining my office so I am not really after awards as such. But yes, it will make me happy if we win more! So there is no pressure as such.
Is there a message in your film?
We have given a subtle message without preaching anything. Anyone visiting the beach will certainly look at the kids there differently after watching Marina.
How did you zero in on Sivakarthikeyan for the hero? When I saw Siva at a function, I watched his body language and felt he would be ideal as hero. The lead pair have comical situations between them and he fits the bill.
Why do you always make films with kids?
I guess I feel comfy with them. It`s tough the first few days but later it gets very easy. I lik to show the life of kids.
