Director Krishnavamsi termed the film as a statement about the current marriage system. "Men remain the same after marriage refusing to take the responsibilities of a husband.
"They live in the same mindset and lifestyle they were leading prior to the wedding, where as the wife leaves her `past life` and adapts to the married life. I am dealing with the subject," said the director.
