The Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi was packed as people thronged to watch the Celebrity Cricket League.
It was not just the stars - like Mohanlal, Mammootty, Genelia D'Souza, Priyamani, Suneil Shetty and Arya - that drew them. They were there to cheer the teams on, especially the new guys.
And, much to everyone's delight, debutant teams Bengal Tigers and Kerala Strikers trumped the champions and won their respective matches.
