Like Bharat and Namitha, who have joined a campaign to promote road safety.
The duo were present at a meet organised by the India-Malaysia Tamil Trade Union and Pink Ads, to talk about the launch of 'Moto Show 2012' - to be held between June 22-24 in Chennai.
The organizers are also promoting a road safety campaign titled 'We follow rules, why don’t you?', as part of the event.
"I've strictly asked my driver to obey traffic rules, even late at night. I follow it myself," said Bharat.
"No one should suffer because of accidents. It is not enough if very few follow traffic rules, everybody should follow them. It is my responsibility to participate in such functions and create awareness as well."
Remembering the major accident she met with around nine years ago, Namitha said, "If I had not worn a seat belt that day I would not be here now.
"When people don't adhere to rules, because of one person's mistakes many people are affected. In our country, people think rules are meant to be broken and I think people should change this attitude."
A walkathon is also being planned on Besant Nagar beach on June 10 to increase awareness on road safety.
