Dr Jeppiyar and Correspondent Regina Jeppiyar of Jeppiyar College of Engineering welcomed Namitha. She was the chief guest at their inter-college music competition. The actress received a very warm welcome from the all the students from various colleges of the city and suburb.
When Namitha entered the colourful stadium, a single student shouted, "Tamil Nattin Chella Seematti Namitha (Namitha, the most lovable lady of Tamil Nadu), the rest of the students repeated the same with zeal. Accepting this new title, Namitha said, "This is really a big surprise and I'm immensely happy to hear the new title that too from the student community. Thanks a lot and I love the kindness and passion of students."
