Upendra had earlier directed several block busters like Shh, OM, 7A. Recently a song sequence was shot in Bangalore's software hub in Marathhalli. Upendra and Nayanthara had participated in this song sequence along with hundreds of dancers.
Upendra was in front of the camera and also giving instructions to his technical team as a director. Ashok Kashyap, a well known cinematographer and director is returning to work behind the camera for Upendra after a gap of nearly twelve years. Earlier he had worked for the film Shh. This song will have Upendra's most popular punch dialogue; "I like It, I like it" in the beginning.
"We have completed shooting Nayanthara's portions" said Upendra who had a lot of appreciative words about the stylish diva who is doing a Kannada film for the first time. "She is an extremely co-operative artist. She has clearly understood the pressures of shooting for such a script which needs total commitment from all artists. Nayanthara has voluntarily assured that her dates would be available for the film whenever asked. And she has done a fantastic job", says Upendra.
Bollywood artist Tulip Joshi plays an important role in this film. Kannada actor Sadhu Kokila and Telugu actor Ali were used for the Kannada and Telugu versions of the film respectively. The Telugu version of the film will be dubbed later to Tamil. Hari Krishna has provided music for this film which will have four songs. Two songs features Uppi and Nayanthara while one song will be on Uppi and Tulip Joshi.
