Director duo Manoj and Vinod has been waiting for some time now, for the release of their debut film Orkut Oru Ormakkoottu. The wait is over and the film is hitting the cinemas today (Jan 5).
The film has four new faces as male leads, along with Rima Kallingal.
“It has been a daunting task for us newcomers to get this film on to the theatres and we could do it thanks to the support of the producer, Johnny Sagarika,” say the directors, who are siblings as well.
The film`s `heroes` are Joe, director Siby Malayil`s son, Anu, actor Vinu Mohan`s brother and Shobha Mohan`s son, Vishnu, photographer Gopalakrishnan`s son, Ben, actor Lalu Alex`s son and also Arjun, comedian Harisree Asokan`s son.
Producer Johnny Sagarika said, "I am really excited about this movie, especially due to the genuine theme that is being narrated."
Orkut Oru Ormakkoottu, incidentally, is the first release of 2012 in Malayalam. Last year`s maiden release Traffic started the proceedings in a terrific way. Can Orkut... repeat the feat? Let`s keep our fingers crossed for now.
