The film, which spans three eras, has three distinct looks for Priyanka: as Aradhana, a simple Punjabi girl in 1910; as Ruksar, an actress in 1960; and as Radha, a carefree, modern girl in 2012.
The role Priyanka is most excited about is that of Aradhana. "I wanted Aradhana to be very Punjabi, so I spoke with a Punjabi accent, and added a few words in Punjabi, too," said Priyanka.
"I wanted her language to be influenced by Punjabi, so hopefully that comes across."
Doing regional characters has become one of Priyanka's passions - remember her Maharashtrian turn in Kaminey and Agneepath?
We can't wait to see if she's nailed this one, too!
