The Bachchan family has left no stone unturned in throwing a grand celebration for senior B. It wasn't just the who's who of B-town who graced the occasion. Big B's friends from down South also hit the red carpet.

Everyone from actors Chiranjeevi to R Madhavan posed for photographers before they were ushered in for the gala event.

The birthday bash was held at Reliance Media Works premises in Filmcity, Mumbai. The Bachchan family is celebrated the event in style with a book launch and an Indian contemporary ballet performance by Nritarutya to the tune of Harivansh Rai Bachchan's poem recited by Amitabh Bachchan himself.

The invite was sent on behalf of the entire Bachchan family - Jaya, Abhishek, Aishwarya, Aaradhya, Shweta Nanda, Nikhil Nanda, Navya Naveli Nanda, Agastya Nanda.
