Superstar Rajnikanth surprised everyone with his presence at the trailer launch of Sivaji 3D at the Prasad Lab in Chennai on Monday (Aug 13) evening.
Rajini made the evening memorable. He was seen in a discussion with the crew and later joined M Saravanan, MS Guhan, SP Muthuraman, Aruna Guhan, Real Image`s Senthil and Sai Prasad at the special media screening.
The 3 D version which is slated for release in September brings out the beauty of Thota Tharani`s sets especially in the `Vaaji Vaaji` song, that was screened. The action, comedy and special gestures of the superstar (like flipping a coin and throwing an apple) are a sheer delight to watch in 3D.
The 3D versions (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi) were painstakingly converted from its 2D format and took about a year for the process with 400 technicians working in three shifts. Eight months of R & D went into the making, which was revealed in the AV screened before the trailer. The producers did not reveal how much it cost for converting 2D into 3D.
Superstar said: “I am indeed fortunate. I am indebted to AVM Productions, Prasad and Shankar for their efforts.”
